My Home Sold five star customer review: a rental sold in seven days

Interviewer: We are here at The Jewelry Exchange with Bill. We just bought his house. Bill, how's the experience?

Bill Doddridge: So I had renters running the house, and they gave me notice they were going to move out. And so I had a friend of mine who's a realtor go and check it out, and he didn't seem to think I could get much for it. And then I thought I'd try to flip it to my kids and whatnot, and they all rejected the house.

And then on the day that Tommy, my son-in-law, who flips houses for a living, rejected it, I got a text from these people saying we're interested in buying your house. I thought for sure it was a scam. So I just went, "Well, how about for this much?" And I gave him the price I offered it to Tommy for. And they go, "Well, we'll send someone down in 15 minutes." And then within an hour they had a written offer on my doorstep.

I thought for sure it was a scam, but then they opened escrow the next day and they closed in seven days. And the offer, I actually got more. They said they'd cover all the expenses and stuff. They offered, I think the deal was 900,000. I actually got a check for 902, more than they offered, at the very end of it. So I was really, really impressed. It was a really clean deal.
